We’re uploading two posts today because we accidentally missed last weeks! (My bad, everyone.) Today we’ll be picking book titles that best describe parts of our life! We first saw this tag on the Book Revels blog, and we thought we’d give it a try!

Katie (Lost in Pages): Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore because life is wild and beautiful.

Katie (A Cup of Cyanide): Story of Your Life and Others by Ted Chiang. My life is shaped by other people and they deserve a mention.

2. Questions you ask yourself

Katie (Lost in Pages): Do Andriods Dream of Electric Sheep? I mean, do they?

Katie (A Cup of Cyanide): The Wise Man’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss. What is it that a wise person fears? What can I learn from that?

3. How you think people would describe your personality

Katie (Lost in Pages): Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson. This is a joke, clearly. I’m not devious at all, but the title definitely fit well.

Katie (A Cup of Cyanide): Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan. Hahahahah I wish 😦

4. Your philosophy on dating/love

Katie (Lost in Pages): Save the Date by Morgan Matson, I’m a commitment-loving person. Marriage is definitely the end game.

Katie (A Cup of Cyanide): So Yesterday by Scott Westerfield, see title.

5. Your relationship with academics

Katie (Lost in Pages): The Hating Game by Sally Thorne because I really hated certain aspects of school. I love learning, but I hated the rules and regulations.

Katie (A Cup of Cyanide): One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus. My grades say one thing but I say another so clearly one of us is lying…

6. How you felt about the prospect of college

Katie (Lost in Pages): More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera. I had high hopes for college and freedom, so it was definitely more positive of an experience than negative.

Katie (A Cup of Cyanide): Sorcery for Beginners by Matt Harry. When a lot of topics are first introduced in engineering courses, they seem like utter black magic (Gauss’ Laws).

7. One thing you’ve learned in life so far

Katie (Lost in Pages): Heart of Iron by Ashley Poston, you have to have an iron heart to make it through. Be loving, but be protective of your heart.

Katie (A Cup of Cyanide): Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire. Talking to strangers is so interesting. Everyone has their own experience and you learn such interesting things.

8. Advice you’d give to your high school self

Katie (Lost in Pages): Just Listen by Sarah Dessen, teachers and adults had a lot of wisdom to give besides just textbook knowledge.

Katie (A Cup of Cyanide): Extracurricular Activities by Yoon Ha Li. Pick a couple extracurriculars and stick when them, don’t just hop around

9. Your best trait

Katie (Lost in Pages): Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I’m a total fangirl over so many things, and it shows my dedication! I love being a part of a fandom because it gives you a sense of family.

Katie (A Cup of Cyanide): Autonomous by Annalee Newitz. I pride myself in being very independent

10. Your worst trait

Katie (Lost in Pages): Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas because I have a tendency to keep to myself and have an air of mystery around me. I’m kind of shut off.

Katie (A Cup of Cyanide): Zero Sum Game by S.L. Huang. I have a habit of thinking of situations as zero sum games where only one party can win and I’m still trying to break this mindset.
