Unboxing | September Owlcrate

It’s that time again, everyone! This month’s Owlcrate box was “Masters of Disguise”, and each item was super cool! I knew going in what the book was going to be, and it’s one I was anticipating.

Up first, there was a lip balm and the button with this month’s theme. The lip balm was created by GeekFireLabs, and it was inspired by The Kiss of Deception!

Next, there was a bath soak created by Leeloo Soaps that was inspired by The Diabolic.

Then there was a promotional card for Grim Lovelies that came with a small bottle of sparkling gold nail polish!

I haven’t personally read A Darker Shade of Magic, but I’m aware of Lila Bard. This print created by Kirsty Carter is really beautiful!

The next item is something I’ve never seen before in a box, and it was a set of finger-less gloves! They’re inspired by the Six of Crows duology, and they have a little crow button on the wrist.

The item I was most excited about was the mug designed by Cara Kozik, who designed the Harry Potter Hagrid’s Hut mug from a few boxes back! This time, she channeled the four Marauders, and I love it so much. Pictures don’t do it justice!

Lastly, there was the book. This month’s choice was…

…Mirage by Somaiya Daud! This is an exclusive cover — the original is a deep purple. This edition has an exclusive hardcover design under the jacket as well as being signed by the author! The end pages are beautiful as well!

As always, there was a spoiler card for next month’s “Lost in the Bookstore” theme! I love Out of Print, so I can’t wait for those socks.

Special note: October’s box will feature two new books, both of which will have exclusive covers and be signed! The Instagram post they made announcing the theme said that most of the items won’t be fandom themed, but will be perfect for the cozy season. I’m all about fall cozy time. Unfortunately, the October box has already sold out — go, Owlcrate! — but soon you can sign up for their November “Rise from the Ashes” box! Use the link here to subscribe once they go on sale!

Until next time,

What was your favorite item from this month’s box? Let me know in the comments!
