Unboxing | September Fairyloot

Hello, everyone! I don’t think I’m exaggerating any when I say I was super pumped for this box. “Starcross Swoons” sounds perfect, and although I ended up with the same book as the Owlcrate box this month, they couldn’t be more different editions. Let’s get into it!

long-page-break

Up first, there was a promotional bookmark, a small tin, and shoelaces!

The bookmark was for Tempests and Slaughter, the tin had a small heart-shaped body lotion inspired by the Shadow and Bone trilogy, and the shoelaces featured all the courts of Prythian from A Court of Thorns and Roses. They were created by Fictiontea Designs!

Next, there was an enamel pin and matches from the Shadowhunters in Cassandra Clare’s books, as well as a promotional postcard for Muse of Nightmares!

This box also featured five postcards with swoon-worthy couples from different books! (from top left: Amar and Maya from The Star-Touched Queen, Lazlo and Sarai from Strange the Dreamer, Feyre and Rhysand from ACOTAR, Cassian and Nesta from ACOTAR, and Julian and Emma from The Dark Artifices series)

Next, there was a notebook created by Read at Midnight that featured a quote from The Star-Touched Queen as well as a sampler for Queen of Air and Darkness.

My favorite item from this box was the apron designed by Literary Life Co. that featured a quote from Strange the Dreamer! I don’t want to use it in case I ruin it, I’d rather frame it because it’s so beautiful!

I love candles, so I was excited to see a Twilight inspired candle created by Nerd Poured Candles. It smelled like apples and forests, and I love the glitter on the top!

Then, there was a replacement item from two boxes ago — the tea towel featuring a quote from And I Darken!

Last but not least, the book for this month was…

Mirage by Somaiya Daud! I already owned Owlcrate’s exclusive copy, but this one is vastly different! This edition has its own exclusive grey cover, as well as purple stained edges! It’s also signed by the author too! It came with an art print and bookmark to match.

I really love getting exclusive copies from these book boxes. It definitely makes you feel like you’re getting a collectable item, and as someone who can never have too many editions of books, I’ll happily keep getting duplicates if they come looking like these!

If you’re my reading buddy, let me know! I also truly love the artwork for this month’s theme. I feel like I could write a whole novel on just the two people in that print — I feel so inspired!
