Hello, everyone! Today, we’re talking dragons! They’re my favorite mythical creature, and this month’s Fairyloot box was themed all around the fire-breathing beasts. Without any further ado, let’s hop into the unboxing!
Up first, there was a dragon themed reading journal for the months of January through June! I love reading journals and keeping track of everything I read, so this is a great addition to my journal collection. It’s like the physical Goodreads, who wouldn’t love that? This one was designed by Fictiontea Designs, and the internal artwork is from Bianca Montiel.
Next, there was a burlap pin flag to display buttons and enamel pins! I have a giant collection of buttons and pins, so this is super useful! There was also a tiny box that had a glow-in-the-dark dragon necklace! I’m usually not a jewelry wearer, but this necklace will be an exception! Both items were brought to us by the team at Fairyloot!
I mean, look how cool this thing is!?
Next, there was a double-sided print. One side featured Manon and Abraxos from the Throne of Glass series, and the other side featured Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon! Both were illustrated by Diana Worak.
My favorite item from this month’s box is the book sleeve! This one features the dragon escaping from Gringotts in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and it was designed by Sweet Sequels!
This box also included two character tarot cards! They feature characters from A Court of Thorns and Roses, but honestly I’m not sure which ones they are. I’m assuming the girl is Amren, but the boy could be Azriel or Cassian, I’m not sure which.
This box was missing another item, magnetic bookmarks designed by Taratjah, and they were themed after the Mother of Dragons herself: Daenerys from Game of Thrones. The replacements for these should be shipping soon, so I’ll include them in next month’s unboxing!
One cool thing featured in this box was an advanced reader’s copy! I love when boxes include ARCs, and this one is one I’m super excited for! Subscribers got a copy of The Storm Crow by Kayln Josephson that comes out in July!
And the book for this month was…
…Fire & Heist by Sarah Beth Durst! I’ve never read a Durst book, but I’ve heard good things about her other series, The Queens of Renthia! This edition is signed by Sarah herself, and it also comes with an art print!
January’s theme is “Unbreakable Bonds”, and I’m pretty sure I know the book! They’ve already revealed that there will be a cushion cover with a quote on one side and an illustration on the other! The book will also have sprayed edges, so I’m excited to see those!
Until next time,
