Hello, everyone! Today I have a special unboxing! I was lucky enough to snag a The Wicked King Owlcrate box that features an exclusive edition of the book that matches the exclusive edition of The Cruel Prince that was in their January 2018 box. That’s a mouthful, but I knew I needed this box because I can’t help myself when it comes to collecting different editions of my favorite books. So, let’s get into what was in the box!
Up first, there was a zipper pouch with a quote that was designed by Reverie & Ink!
Next, there was a wood-wick candle from Alchemy & Ink (a lot of “& Ink” companies lol), and it smelled really woodsy! I love it.
Next, there was a double-sided tassel bookmark created by Indigo Eleven!
Then, there was an art print illustrated by Melanie Bourgeois! Jude and Cardan have an interesting relationship, to say the least.
There were also a couple enamel pins – one designed by That’s Lovely Dear that features the foil stamp on the hardcover of The Cruel Prince and the other is from Little Brown Publishing!
There was also a beautiful scarf designed by Bookmark’d Tattoos! It’s very soft and the design is subtly Holly Black, so you can rep your favorite fae queen without drawing too much attention to yourself!
The team at Owlcrate also designed a cute little acorn necklace. I love how dainty it is!
Lastly before the book, there was a package of tea from Riddle’s Tea Shoppe and a gem soup bar from Leeloo Soaps!
The final item was, of course, the book itself. Owlcrate has really outdone themselves with the exclusive covers for this series. I really hope they make one for the third and final book next year!
This edition came with a note from Holly Black as well as a signed page insert!
I mean, just look at these two together.
I’ve been a fan and avid subscriber of Owlcrate since late 2015, and they just keep getting better and better with their boxes. I can’t recommend them enough! Stay tuned later this month for the January Owlcrate unboxing – I’m sure it’ll be another great one!
Until next time,
