Media Mondays

Hello, everyone! Today is Monday, so that means it’s time for another Media Monday! This week is going to be a mashup of shows, podcasts, and music that I’ve been consuming so far this year. Thankfully, 2020 is behind us, and 2021 has shown that it can improve – fingers crossed!

evermore – Taylor Swift

What can I say about Taylor Swift that hasn’t already been said? She’s a brilliant lyricist, and her songs never cease to amaze me. I’ve literally had this album – all of her songs, really – on repeat anytime I’m in my car. I sincerely can’t get enough. I’m hoping 2021 has another secret Swift album because I need more.

This Might Get Weird

I’ve been a YouTube viewer of Grace Helbig and Mamrie Hart for quite a long time, and when they cancelled their collaborative channel This Might Get…, I was devastated. Thankfully, they turned it into a podcast, and I laugh along with them on a weekly basis! Can’t get enough of these two hilarious women, that’s for sure.

My Favorite Murder

I’ve been a true crime fan for countless years, and I discovered Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark’s true crime podcast about two years ago. There are so many episodes, and I’ve just recently gotten caught up to their 2020 ones. I’ve still got a ways to go, but I hope it takes me forever because I never want to run out! I love their fresh comedic take on some of the world’s grimmest headlines – they make murder sound so entertaining oddly enough.

I couldn’t make this post without mentioning Bridgerton. This royal drama has taken the world by storm, and I was captivated. I know it was the subject of its own scandal with certain scenes, and I don’t even begin to ignore the seriousness of it. I think everyone should acknowledge its faults. That being said, the characters are engaging, the acting is superb, and the settings are beautiful. I can’t wait for season two, I need to know more!

Let me know down in the comments what you’ve been watching/listening to! I’m always up for suggestions and recommendations!

Until next time,
