Unboxing | February Owlcrate

Hello, everyone! Today I decided to post an unboxing of Owlcrate’s February box! The theme for that month was “Magic Unleashed”, so let’s get to the items!

Up first, there was a small jar of bath salts inspired by We Hunt the Flame and created by The Soap Librarian. There was also this month’s enamel pin designed by Icey Designs. The keychain was designed by Lively Ghosts and inspired by Daughter of Smoke and Bone.

Next, there was a hairbrush created by the team at Owlcrate, and it’s inspired by Star Daughter. This item was my least favorite and felt a bit cheap to me.

Next, there was a zipper pouch created by By Chenelle and inspired by Legendborn. I like zipper pouches, but I honestly don’t use them often.

The last item before the book was the only item I was truly interested in. There’s a new collectible book tin series that Owlcrate is doing inspired by the four Londons in A Darker Shade of Magic. This tin is beautiful. It’s designed by Forensics and Flowers, and I love it so much.

Finally, we have this month’s book. It was…

The Gilded Ones by Namina Forna! I’m intrigued by the premise with magical powers and West African inspired folklore. This edition features an exclusive cover, exclusive foil designs, and it’s signed by the author!

Next month’s theme is “Of Witches and Wonder”, and every box will have an item designed by Taylia Skyles!

All in all, this box was okay. I like the keychain and the book tin, but overall the items lately have been a little disappointing to me. I wish Owlcrate would do a book only subscription because I think that’s more my style.

Until next time,
